Tribal Projects Showcase Event in Sacramento, California November 1st–2nd, 2023

The Tribal Community Coordinating Center’s mission is to provide culturally appropriate guidance and assistance to California Indian Tribes to access and implement tobacco related programs. Here our project stands with TCCC, CYAN, UNDO, Mendocino County LLA, and representatives from Northern California Tribes with CTCP funded grants. 

At this showcase we trained on how to increase awareness of how systems of power impact and oppress youth, acquire a set of techniques to create engaging presentations tailored to young audiences, develop communication skills to effectively recruit and engage with youth in project-related activities, alongside networking and sharing with community partners. 

Our project is looking forward to using all the tools we learned at this showcase in our work with our PYACT youth coalition and tribal members. Thank you for your continued support towards our project. We are excited about the upcoming year and all the work we will be doing with our community.
